Best banjo for a beginner?

I play the violin, cello, mandolin and losts of other instruments and I and going to workshop over the summer and today they had some people preform some bluegr music. I like more of the irish and bluegr music so I am looking at buying a banjo. I am more looking for a cheap starter pack but im not sure how many strings or an open or closed back. any ideas? thank you.
