TMJ, I was just diagosed. I am going to get a mouth guard but I need pain relief now. I have headaches, ear?

ache, neck pain and feel terrible. This has gone on for 2 weeks. Does anyone have a solution to curb the pain. Dr. gave me muscle relaxers but they made me sick. Help please. Thanks in advance.
